Why Woven Wings?

More than thirty years ago I used "Woven Wings" as my artist name. I had a loom and wove several rugs and placemats. I also manipulated the fabric I wove to make tubes which I stuffed and shaped and had fun with. I wove baskets and made large wall hangings with hoops. I identified as an artist back then. There was joy for me in the sky - clouds, sun, moon, birds and wind. It does not make sense that "Woven Wings" is behind me. So, today I start a new journey to get out of my head, my obsession with work and responsibilitiy and look to the sky once again. Weave myself some wings. Nola
